3 Year Old Preschool and 4 Year Old PreKindergarten

Where do we start?

The beginning years of a child’s life are years of wonder and excitement over learning new things. Research shows that by the age of four, a child has learned about half of the items that he/she will know during the rest of his/her life. Much non-formal learning (i.e. learning to share, to trust, and becoming independent) occurs in these formative years. Positive experiences in this type of learning will largely determine the child’s attitude towards themselves, others, and the world in which they live.

Recognizing this, Immanuel Lutheran School offers an extensive program of Early Childhood Education for children ages three, four, and five. These programs are designed to get your child off to a great start on his/her journey into learning. In a Christian atmosphere of acceptance and guidance, your child can experiment, make mistakes and learn from them, discover, and find happiness that comes from working and sharing with others. Immanuel strives to give each child a positive experience in their education, which will grow into a love for learning.

To create a positive experience in learning, it is important that the child has a good self-image, possess good feelings about friends, and enjoy the world in which he/she lives. We believe that such an experience has its beginning in knowing that the world in which the child lives was created by God, and the Savior who redeemed him/her can be depended upon and trusted.
