Kelly Hardt

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Theology from Concordia University Chicago in 2000 and received my Master of Arts (majoring in practical theology) from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis in 2007. My first call as a Deaconess was to Holy Cross Lutheran in Collinsville, IL where I served for almost 14 years before being called here to Immanuel in 2014.

I am truly grateful to serve here in such a loving, warm place. I love that there is so much variety in my ministry. I am blessed to be able visit members who are shut in and hospitalized and serve in the areas of Women’s Ministry, Older Adult Ministry, Children’s Ministry, and Comfort Dog Ministry.

My favorite Bible verse is my Confirmation verse--Joshua 1:9 “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Another favorite is Philippians 4:13 “ I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”

I love spending time with my Mom and my friends. I also enjoy reading, watching TV and movies, and traveling, especially to Disney World and to the Chicago area where I am from originally (and yes, I am a Cubs fan!).
